Goglet Guillaume is an independent menswear atelier devoted to restraint, material integrity, and uncompromising craft.
Each piece is shaped from beginning to end by a single pair of hands, with leather serving as both structure and expression.
The name Goglet Guillaume reflects an English and French lineage.
“Goglet” was a name given in childhood by a grandmother from Sark in the Channel Islands, while “Guillaume” is the French translation of William — the designer’s first name. Together, they form the foundation of the atelier’s identity.
William Adams studied Fashion Design at the University for the Creative Arts in Rochester, where a dark aesthetic and a deep respect for leather craftsmanship began to take shape. It was here that an enduring focus on material, discipline, and construction was established.
Today, each garment is approached as an object of intent.
Produced in singular form, the work exists to be worn, yet carries the presence of something more enduring than fashion.
The atelier is based in London.

At Goglet Guillaume, leather is valued for its character rather than its uniformity.
While many fashion houses pursue flawless hides, free from marks or irregularity, we seek the opposite. Scars, variations, and natural imperfections are not considered faults, but records — subtle traces of the animal’s life.
These irregularities give each skin a distinct presence and ensure that no two garments are ever identical, creating a quiet individuality that cannot be replicated or standardised.
This approach reflects a broader philosophy held within the atelier: that perfection is neither attainable nor desirable. Value is found instead in nuance, in evidence of time, and in what has endured.
The hide is not corrected or disguised, but respected for what it is.
Each garment is therefore constructed not to erase these signs, but to frame them. What results is clothing that carries more than function or form, but the presence of a life once lived and a material allowed to remain honest.
